Background<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The University of Auckland\u2019s School of Environment<\/strong><\/a> houses the Geological Collections, a nationally and internationally significant resource comprising rocks, minerals, fossils, stalactites, stalagmites, and other geological specimens. These collections are essential for teaching and research, and many items are irreplaceable due to protected or inaccessible original collection sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Between September and November 2025<\/strong>, the School of Environment undertook a major relocation of its Geological Collections from Kitson Place to new premises. The project required meticulous planning and execution to ensure the safety and preservation of these valuable specimens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
