At Crown we have some amazing women across all of our divisions and believe that every woman in business needs and deserves a supportive environment. Earlier this year Crown Worldwide New Zealand brought together a group of eleven talented women to form ‘THE EDGE’ – Crown NZ’s Women in Leadership Forum.
The Edge creates an environment of motivation, learning and inspiration where Crown women can strive to achieve their goals. With an array of valuable and interesting topics this forum provides women a chance to share successes and potential issues, brainstorm ideas and ask for advice – all while having fun and getting to know each other.
The leadership forum, who meet regularly, comprises of eleven successful and inspirational women thinking big in moving and logistics. The group is diverse with participants from across our business units including World Mobility, Customer Services, Operations, Finance, Quality, IT and Marketing.
One of Crown’s goals is to get staff to do the best work of their lives. The Edge is designed to give women the support, knowledge and skills that are essential success factors for our business moving forward.

Taking the time to celebrate women in the business is very special, what better place to do this than … ‘Sculptureum’ – Auckland’s best kept secret. Set in the far north of Auckland this venue hosts beautiful gardens and art from around the globe to inspire, uplift and amuse everyone who passes through.
This impressive venue set the scene for a workshop on ‘World Class Leadership’. The forum engaged in discussions around leadership profiles and influencing styles taking a deep dive into personality traits. The field trip then finished with a tour of the gardens and gallery which entertained and motivated the team.
