When you need storage, Crown can manage the entire storage process for you. We pick up your furniture and household goods and store them for you. Then your stored belongings can be delivered later whenever you are ready, whether for a week, several months, or any number of years.
Crown’s storage process involves:
Discussion: what needs storing so we can calculate volume, dates, and duration. Also includes packing requirements, including any specialist items.
Collection: we arrange pick up of furniture, household goods, and special items. This can be from your house, an estate, or a container shipment from overseas.
Storage: your items are stored in purpose-built containers within Crown’s highly secure storage facilities for as long as needed.
Redelivery: when you are ready, we redeliver your stored items back to you. With no fixed-term contracts, only 7 working days’ notice is needed for redelivery of your items.
Crown offers different storage arrangements depending on your needs. We provide both short-term and long-term storage options.
Short-term storage can be from a few days up to 4 weeks. Long-term storage is more than 4 weeks, without any maximum duration. You can store either all your belongings, or just part of your household contents with Crown.
We can also arrange part-delivery of specific items or boxes, or your entire household contents at once, giving you flexibility. With our nationwide network of Crown storage facilities, we can pick up, store and deliver your items when and where you need them.
With Crown, you can store most items, including furniture, appliances, household goods and personal belongings all in the same container. However, some items cannot be stored in Crown’s storage facilities. Hazardous items, such as aerosol cans or e-bike batteries, pose significant safety risks and cannot be transported or stored. We can, however, wrap and store your e-bike without the battery in your container. Our Crown consultants will advise you on all hazardous items prior to moving or storing with us.

Crown offers both short-term storage (from a few days up to four weeks) and long-term storage (more than four weeks, with no maximum duration). Storage can range from a few weeks between settlements to several years while living overseas.
Storage costs vary based on the volume of items, storage duration, and location. With Crown, you only pay for the space you use, so there’s no need to estimate a storage unit size. Storage is charged weekly, and you’ll receive a clear, detailed quote upfront.
Generally, seven working days’ notice is required to arrange redelivery of your stored items. This gives us time to access your storage module and schedule transport. If you need something sooner, your Crown team can discuss available options.
Crown can store furniture, appliances, household goods, vehicles, pianos, and personal belongings. For safety reasons, hazardous items such as flammable liquids, gas bottles, and e-bike batteries cannot be stored or transported. Your Crown consultant will advise on any restricted items before your move.
Items are stored in purpose-built, containerised modules made from kiln-dried timber to reduce condensation risk. Warehouses are alarmed, electronically monitored 24 hours a day, and have controlled access. CrownCare Protection is also available to cover your belongings while in storage, as an extension of your CrownCare Transit Insurance.
