Our Climate and Environment pillar addresses the significant threat of climate change. The increasing frequency of severe weather events serves as a stark reminder of the consequences associated with continued reliance on fossil fuels and ongoing carbon emissions. Our industry has a critical role to play. We are committed to reducing our absolute emissions on a path to net zero by 2040 as well as eliminating waste across our value chain.
Crown’s commitment to People and Business underscores our value that our people are at the heart of our business by fostering a safe, inclusive, and socially responsible workplace, we not only enhance our business operations but also contribute to a healthier society.
The Partners and Community pillar reflects our commitment to building strong relationships with our partners and engaging with local communities. By collaborating and working together, we can have more impact and invest in the areas that mean something to our people and local communities.
By achieving the objectives outlined in these pillars, our aim goes beyond fulfilling obligations; we seek to inspire positive transformation within the transport industry both locally and globally.
We assess and report on our performance through EcoVadis, the global leader in business sustainability ratings. In our latest rating, which was completed October 2023, we earned a Silver medal and scored a 64/100, which places Crown Worldwide New Zealand in the top 25% globally. EcoVadis enables us to measure performance, uncover risks, and identify where and how we can improve our overall impact.
