Kerry James – National Business Development Manager

Kerry has been an integral part of Crown since 2002. She began her journey in the Moving Services Division and transitioned to the World Mobility team in 2009. After four successful years as a Corporate Account Manager, Kerry advanced to the role of Mobility Services Manager in 2013, where she successfully managed our Immigration and Settlement Support teams, generating significant growth.

In 2025, Kerry was appointed as the National Business Development Manager. With a wealth of experience in global mobility, account management, client policy, and an in-depth understanding of Crown’s capabilities across various divisions, Kerry is dedicated to simplifying the lives of our clients.

In her current role, Kerry’s primary focus is to support our clients in achieving their goals. She is committed to fostering and developing strong partnerships with both new and existing customers, and developing tailored solutions to ensure that their needs are met with the highest level of service and professionalism.

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?

The Maldives…. however being in mobility I have to say I’d need a lot more information to support an informed decision around that!

What is your daily mantra, or inspirational quote?

My mantra is to always care, even if it doesn’t feel that important to you it might be to someone else.

What are your top three bucket list experiences?

  1. Travelling with my family, going to as many places possible. It’s a great experience for everyone, people tend to really open up and embrace children, which can allow you to see a whole different side of the culture of a country.
  2. To do a marathon overseas, London perhaps.
  3. Sail from one country to another.

What do you feel are the biggest challenges for organisations who have a mobile workforce today?

Immigration compliance has always been a challenge. Increasingly so for New Zealand based companies, with political pressures resulting in heightened stringency, along with a rise in general awareness around the consequences of non-compliance.

What part of your role with Crown World Mobility do you enjoy the most?

I love the fact that we have the flexibility to really tailor our solutions to meet our customers needs. Mobility and relocation is such a unique and multi-faceted industry you learn something new everyday. Being able to take these learnings and make a real difference for the customers under our care is a great feeling!
