Sharon Brandt needs no introduction as she is the 2018 winner of the Asia Pacific EMMA for Mobility Professional of the Year. Sharon is the head of Crown’s World Mobility Division, annually managing the relocation of over 2500 corporate customers on behalf of Crown’s managed accounts. There are 8 Mobility specialists in her team.
Having relocated to New Zealand with her family in 2004 Sharon joined Crown in 2007. She soon took up the challenge of managing the global Fonterra account. In August 2017 Crown World Mobility’s work with Fonterra was recognised when they won the Asia Pacific Expatriate Management and Mobility Award (EMMA) for ‘‘Best Vendor Partnership’ award.
In her role as Client Services Manager Sharon’s attention is about more than the service delivery components of Crown’s service offer. She specialises in helping client organisations to drive process and quality improvements, on boarding new clients, reporting, expense management, delivering innovation and ensuring the ongoing alignment of Crown with their corporate customers systems and processes.
Recently we had the opportunity to find out a little bit more about her…
If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
I would be happy to live in any city with hustle and bustle — cities where you can be anonymous and explore.
What is your daily mantra, or inspirational quote?
Prayer…confidence…teach.
What are your top three bucket list experiences?
What do you feel are the biggest challenges for organisations who have a mobile workforce today?
Ensuring the mobile staff members are taken care of in their new city, keeping them part of the home team and sharing their newly learnt skills back into the home team as soon as possible. The mobile staff member will go through extremes during their assignment life-cycle, it is imperative that we know how to assist at these times.
What part of your role with Crown World Mobility do you enjoy the most?
The versatility and the human connection — being able to help and be of assistance in a stressful period — and sometimes that is just to listen. Work alongside the corporate in ensuring their policies work to assist and attract their mobile staff.
