Crown Relocations is NZ’s leading moving company.

Stronger Together

In celebration of International Women’s Day, we put the spotlight on our Crown Relocations Auckland Operations Manager – Hanlie Mostert. Recently she gave us some insight into what a typical day for her is like….

“That’s the uniqueness of my role, there are no ‘typical’ days! An early start around 6-7 am with an amazing team in Auckland Ops. We oversee all the crew being dispatched, vehicles maintained, issues resolved, ensure all is in place for a smooth pack or delivery & make the experience stress free for our customers. In addition is the managing of our Warehouse day to day duties — all of it generally ending around 6pm with getting all our crews back safely in the yard, off-loaded & prepped, ready for the next day. With a couple of set meetings thrown into the mix as well.

Q: Tell us in a few words about your time with Crown to date.
A: I started with Crown in October 2016, I was very new to this industry as part of the Auckland Operations team in the role of the planner/dispatcher, and getting to know our in-house systems very well! At my first interview for the job, I was told Crown is a company that offers opportunities to their committed employees which was proven to be true when I was offered & promoted to the role of Operations Manager for Auckland eight months into the job when an opportunity came up. I am very appreciative of the fact that managers who had faith in my abilities gave me the opportunity to prove this.

Q: What drives you to?
A: My family! I am a mother of four (ranging between ages 11 years old to 24 years old) and a (young!) grandmother of two! They are the main reason I come to work every day. The best feeling in the world is knowing that I can provide for them, not just financially but also installing a good work ethic by proving my loyalty and commitment to my job. I am ambitious, goal driven and analytical, and I still have so many boxes to tick within my work life.

Q: What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
A: I love interior design. I’m currently painting the entire interior of my house ‘duck egg blue’, room by room all on my own; because no one does it better than you, right?!
